For Pacific Chamber Players first concert series for 2016 Julie-Anne O’Reilly (violin) and I welcome cellist Robert Truman in an all piano trio programme. Robert has had a distinguished career as performer in England including 10 years as principal cello of Covent Garden Orchestra and 20 years as principal cello of the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He has worked closely with virtually all the leading internationally distinguished instrumentalists and conductors and played on sound tracks for such movies as “The Davinci Code” and “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy.
Our programme will include the enchanting HAYDN “Gypsy” Piano Trio, BEETHOVEN Piano Trio in Eb Op 1 No 1 and the smouldering SMETANA Piano Trio in G minor. Robert will also delight us with SAINT-SAENS “The Swan”.
